The Ascension Programme supports young people who are underrepresented in industry and who come from a lower socio-economic background to support advancements in social mobility.
Hosted Ascension events, delivered in Wolverhampton, are ideal for young people between the ages of 15 – 21.

Ascension events cover a variety of industry themes and include positive history representation, music, entertainment, quizzes, games and live performances.
Each event also develops participant life skills providing practical hands-on challenges and experiences to build character and confidence. Skills developed include negotiation, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, team working, project management, cultural intelligence, working under pressure, time management, constructive feedback and refinement.
The Ascension Programme provides education and career support to young people up to the point they feel our support is no longer needed. With participant consent, Genesis Sun continues to monitor the personal progress of programme participants as part of their alumni.
The Ascension Programme is based in the West Midlands.
