A specific decision was determined for my future, and how I would progress through Gordon’s event. His experience passed on how I can learn from his time and apply use that to guide my career route.

Genesis Sun has made a huge difference in my life in numerous ways.

Genesis Sun has allowed me to exit my comfort zone through the opportunity of becoming a Genstar. It presented me with the challenge of public speaking for the first time in front of a live audience, creating a powerpoint and answering questions at the event in front of friends, family and others at the event. This experience is unique to myself and has been able to be added to my CV which allows me to stand out when I apply for jobs but also gives me a perspective of the concept of presenting in front of people that most people at my age wouldn’t have done. 

The experience of going to a social event that educates me and other like-minded people fills in the gaps to my identity but more specifically my history of my ethnic background. It provides me with information that the British school curriculum failed to educate me on and the ability to understand more about a historical figure related to me through the fun environment of each Ascension event is incredible and unique.

Going to an event like Genesis Sun will always provide a different view from the advice of each speaker at an ascension event. Not only did one guest speaker influence me however a number if not all do through their stories and experience within the real world will always play an unconscious role in decisions about myself or in day-to-day life.

Genesis Sun has had a huge impact on my life, they have given me the opportunity of a computing/coding mentorship which opens a range of doors for when I leave school. ⁠

It’s been an amazing journey with Genesis Sun, the Ascension events are loads of fun with life skills, games, stories and quizzes that are so much fun to take part in (also the foods absolutely beautiful).

⁠Since I connected with Genesis Sun my social ability has increased a lot, I feel so much more comfortable in a social setting. This allowed me to feel comfortable making a video based on Wolverhampton community and what young people would want and speak in front of the Wolverhampton city council.

Genesis Sun changed my life, it has made me a better person.

 It has helped me grow as an individual, it’s changed my mindset, my skills have developed, my understanding has strengthened, I have learnt a lot through Genesis Sun, if it wasn’t for them standing by my side supporting me every step of the way I honestly wouldn’t have gotten this far. If it wasn’t for Diane Spence the CEO and founder of Genesis Sun who has committed and worked extremely hard for her organisation to help grow and inspire brighter futures for the young people in Wolverhampton, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Thanks to Genesis Sun I’ve achieved so much over the past few years, the love and support and commitment Diane has shown to me and the young people in the community is extraordinary it’s absolutely amazing, and I’m so glad and thankful to have met a wonderful woman like Diane and her crew who work alongside her showing love and support. It has been the best experience and choice I’ve ever made to join and be part of Genesis Sun and I’m truly grateful for her and the services they provide, and I can’t express enough appreciation I have towards her and Genesis Sun. I am consistently growing, achieving and developing as time goes by, all thanks to Genesis Sun and the Ascension Programme which has inspired me to keep pushing for my dreams and goals. Genesis Sun means so much to me and I would hate for it to go or stop in any way.

I have had the best experience with Genesis Sun, it has been a great and wonderful experience, there is nothing I would change about Genesis Sun because it’s perfect in all aspects, the deliveries, the programmes the opportunities the love the support and the events it’s all worth it. The Ascension Programme delivers a safe space to commune with others and like-minded people sharing ideas, gaining understanding, learning from each other, meeting new friends and supporting one another. Attending Genesis Sun events has made me more confident.

Genesis Sun means a lot to me as it is something me and my friends can have fun attending. It has also helped me expand my social circle, and helped me to meet new friends. I would tell others that the Ascension Programme is very fun and educational. It has never failed to make me laugh or smile. I have been able to meet people who will support me in developing what I want to do in my future career.

Genesis Sun has had a big impact in my life in bigger ways than I could’ve thought possible.

It’s brought me out of my comfort zone and has helped me improve largely as a person in mental and emotional ways meaning that the Ascension Programme means a lot to me as a person.

If I was to tell someone about my experiences as a participant on the Ascension Programme I would tell them that I have made a lot of new connections and friends because of the programme and it has taught me a lot with general knowledge and personal knowledge that I can take away with me after every event. I would say that it is an amazing programme and the overall opportunity and has warmed my heart completely.

Since joining the Ascension Programme I have made different decisions career wise because I wanted to jump straight into the music business. I have now ventured into the beauty business, and would like to start my own business. Genesis Sun encourages me to do the best I can, and shows me that anything is possible.

Genesis Sun has made an important difference in my life. Through the Ascension Programme I’ve been able to meet new people from across Wolverhampton and inspiring role models and it has given me an inherent focus on my future.

I would say that my experience has been wonderful, and that I completely recommend it. It’s not for everybody, but to experience it for yourself will really benefit you.

Genesis Sun has taught me to come more independent and analytical about my future career plans. I now have more extensive knowledge of different jobs and opportunities I can go into.

Genesis Sun has made a huge difference in my life in numerous ways.

Over these past few months Genesis Sun has given me a newfound motivation to become a makeup artist, the Ascension Programme has been very inspirational for me throughout, through the motivational guest speakers and the practical activities I have participated in.

I would say, they have given me knowledge that many black youths would have probably never learnt in school.

I’ve made new decisions after attending the Ascension Programme like delivering a SFX makeup and music workshop for young children and posting my creations on social media. And Genesis Sun has been very helpful with uplifting me and motivating me to do so.
