Genesis Sun

Diane Spence

Founder and CEO

Diane spent over 25 years in the IT sector; working for numerous organisations, including FTSE 100 companies. “During my career, I have consistently found a lack of diversity and representation in leadership positions, particularly in STEM roles and would like to focus on creating positive change and maximise opportunities for all. In addition, I would like to assist young people to believe they can achieve their goals and work collaboratively to create a desire for knowledge, thus increasing attainment grades and reducing detention and exclusion rates.

Darren Campbell

Trustee

Darren is a transformational leader who drives change across IT sector organisations and creates environments in which other leaders can amplify their business performance. His strong interest in social equality means Darren plays an active role in community development initiatives, where his involvement ranges from governing charities and social enterprises to giving motivational speeches. He is also a Genesis Sun role model.

Debra Johnson

Trustee

Having worked for 13 years in the education sector and more recently in children’s social care Debra is keen to see an improvement in the attainment grades of young, black British people. “I would like to see a change in the curriculum, so all young people are educated on the contribution black lives have made to the progression of our world and to encourage and inspire those that are currently underachieving..

Nick Baxter

Trustee

Nick, a former professional rugby player, is deeply passionate about all thing’s “team” and “network.” He is fortunate to have cultivated an extensive and trusted global network that spans multiple industries.

Driven by a desire to create opportunities for young people, Nick is dedicated to helping those who might not otherwise be aware of the diverse career paths available to them. He is committed to championing social equality initiatives that empower future generations to realise their full potential.

Juliet Mutemwa

Project Manager

With over five years of experience working in education I understand the transformative power of representation in shaping young people’s aspirations. My passion for service was further strengthened during three months of volunteering in South Africa where I gained invaluable insight into the resilience, talent, and untapped potential within young communities.

These experiences have deeply shaped my perspective and reinforced my belief in the importance of creating opportunities for young people to see what is possible for themselves. Through Genesis Sun, I am driven by a desire to help young people dream bigger, aim higher and achieve more than they ever imagined.

We are enthusiastic about our mission and feel energised about delivering it.

The team at Genesis Sun are encouraged to create a culture within our work that promotes creativity, innovation and entertainment whilst supporting our values and beliefs. We are passionate about uplifting spirits, creating joy and nurturing existing talent through our edutainment events. We believe that what you can see, you can be, and we exist to make that a reality.

We all have dreams. In order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline and effort.
